Schools That Can Newark

Client: Schools That Can: Newark

About this Project

Gone are the days when a high school shop class could lead to a well-paid career as a carpenter or mason. In schools across the country, job-readiness and life-skill building programs are being replaced with double blocks of math or english. While academics are unquestionably important, Schools That Can believes those other skills — grit, team work, trade skills, etc — are equally important.

Schools That Can-Newark is a regional leader and pioneer in bringing real-world learning into schools across the city. Their Bridging the Education to Employment Gap program helps students develop a résumé and cover letter, takes them through the interview process and allows them to shadow a professional in a chosen field. The Career Skills Pathways program allows students to graduate from high school with tangible technical skills and industry experience that prepares them for success in high-skilled careers or post-secondary education.

Social Media Videos

In additon to an overall, promo video we were able to use provided footage along with an abbreviated production schedule to meet Schools That Can’s video needs and stay on budget. We also put together a variety of social media videos to promote their programming in quick, digestible bites.
