Client: The Muse and Labcorp
About this Project
This project came to us through the job search and career advice company, The Muse. They were producing a custom, branded content story for LabCorp, the Burlington, N.C.-based medical diagnostics company, to target potential applicants for IT positions. The Muse was looking for a local production partner to scout locations, source and coordinate local crew and film remote interviews and b-roll footage. This was during the height of COVID and before vaccines were widely available, so strict protocols were followed to insure crew and talent safety.
The Client wanted a "behind-the-scenes" look to the video, revealing production elements and giving it a more approachable feel. After some searching, we were able to secure a location in a former post office building in downtown Burlington, which is now part of the LabCorp campus. The building was mostly empty due to employees working remotely, making it a great shoot location. And although the shoot presented many speed bumps, the whole team persevered and we were able to capture all the footage the Client needed to create a great finished piece. Editing, color grading and sound mixing was handled by other Muse contractors.
