Carolina Across 100 | Our State, Our Wellbeing
Client: UNC School of Government
About the Project
In response to the widespread havoc wreaked by COVID-19, the University of North Carolina launched Carolina Across 100 to address the disproportionate burdens caused by the pandemic. The second program of the five-year initiative—Our State,Our Wellbeing—focused mental health suicide prevention. It brought together 15 teams from 24 counties from every part of North Carolina. The selected teams were composed of health providers, government agencies, educational institutions, faith-based groups, and civic and nonprofit organizations from 24 counties across the state.
After the success of our first collaboration with the School of Government and the ncIMPACT initiative producing a storytelling recap video for their “Our State,Our Work Program,” (linked in the gallery below) we were excited to work with them again. We love getting to work with the same client on multiple projects since we get to know them and what really drives their work. With an issue like mental health and suicide, we had be sure to be respectful and sensitive with everyone we were filming. In the end, we produced a powerful story that told some of the individual stories behind the teams participating in the initiative.
