Virtual Events

We’re here to help

The world was turned upside down by the COVID-19 pandemic and the way we meet has forever changed. To meet critical, fundraising goals many organizations are transitioning in-person gatherings to online, digital, virtual—whatever you want to call it—events and galas.

As a lean, nimble video production team, we can help you produce pre-recorded or live video content from a safe, social distance to add polish and production value to your digital event. We’ve also partnered with event planners that can help make your event engaging and successful.

Also, check out the virtual event resources and ideas we’ve collected from around the web.

Thousands of people in one room without a mask or care in sight—those were the days!

Remember when we could gather thousands of people in one room and listen to inspiring speakers?…sigh.

Video—either pre-recorded or live streamed—is the foundation of any virtual event.

Video—either pre-recorded or live streamed—is the foundation of any virtual event.

Your virtual event begins with video

When hosting a virtual event, one of the first decisions to make is if speakers, performances—anyone who will appear on camera— will be pre-recorded or streamed live. Both approaches are valid and have their advantages and challenges. And thanks to telephoto lenses and boom microphones, can be filmed while practicing appropriate social distancing.

Some services we can provide

  • Pre-recorded individual speakers, performances, or full events

  • Livestream video services

  • Remote producing/directing of speakers

  • Virtual event planner referral

  • Digital fundraising consulting

Case Study: DPAC/Triangle Rising Stars

Every year the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) celebrates high school musical theater through the Triangle Rising Stars (TRS) program. TRS is a regional competition of the Jimmy Awards and winners spend a week in New York City rehearsing with theater legends and competing on Broadway for exposure and prize money.

Although in years past TRS has concluded with an awe-inspiring performance from the 20 finalists, due to COVID, the 2021 performance had to be all virtual. DPAC called on us to help make it happen and we jumped at the chance. We spent two, long days at McGregor Hall in Henderson, N.C. recording 20 performances in front of a live band. We even put together a montage-y music video of the song “For Now” from the musical Avenue Q. The event was a resounding success and one of the N.C. performers went on to win the entire national competition. Take a look, these kids are crazy talented.
